The Fietsappel.

City Development and urban sprawl has always been encouraging and relying on car use and therefore widening the gap between citizens and bike use. Cities are not design for bicycles; they are unquestionably not bike friendly. Furthermore, Bicycles are considered sorts of aliens in the city and we need to change this now. Well, in my point of view Netherlands has the lead in this regard and The Fietsappel is one example, a very cool example!

I found this Bike park at which is a great blog, and I think it is awesome. You can find this post at The Fietsappel. It can hold up to 970 bicycles and it is in the city of Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands. How cool this is? and of course, sustainable! It is a great example to follow and it is certainly a reference in my Design for Cities Project. It is desdigned by two architects, Wytze Patjin & Kuiper Compagnons.
